Cairns

As we left Townsville we saw a roadside advertisement for the Coconut Holiday Resort, where we are staying, offering as many pancakes as you can eat. On Thursday mornings the resort puts on a pancake breakfast for all the guests so we popped down to try them out. It’s a good way to meet other guests and chat about places to visit. The pancakes are thick dinner plate sized. We were told that the record for the biggest number eaten in a single sitting is nine. Now there is a challenge for Andrew!

Mark spent the rest of the day working on clients’ projects. Denise rang all the roadhouses we will be passing through on the way to Darwin so we know what we need to carry on each of the different legs of the trip.

Zoom into the map and use the 'Satellite' layer to see our new location.
